Hey, How are you?
Where on earth has the month gone?!
Is it me or has April flown by so quickly.
We’ve just completed our first calendar month of lockdown and whilst there have been obvious challenges, this lockdown period has also made space for some potential silver linings that I’d like to share with you today.
1) Walking – Apart from the last week, we’ve been very blessed to have good weather whilst being on lockdown.
This has given some of us the opportunity to use our 60 mins of outdoor exercise to walk.
Regular walking is a fantastic way of burning calories, clearing your head and even spending time speaking with your loved ones.
For those of us that have found our working hours get even busier in this time, perhaps a walking meeting could work for you?
That way you can kill two birds with one stone.
However you do it, let’s replace the lost steps of the commute with a regular daily walk.
I’ve recommended that our members still aim for 7,000 – 10,000 steps a day during lockdown.
I promise that you’ll feel better for it & keep in shape too.
2) Cooking – The extra time we have at home could allow us to have more home cooked meals, nutrient dense meals.
Rather than eating out & having our favourite from Pret or costa, we now have the opportunity to have greater control over what we eat.
If you are struggling for inspiration, please let us know and we’ll give you access to some of our recipe books.
We’ll also continue to post some of our favourite recipes over on Instagram & facebook too.
This is a great opportunity to develop healthier habits around our food & cooking – plus you may find a some new recipes to add to your collection.
3) Exercise – If ever there was a time to increase your exercise frequency, then now is the time.
30 – 45 minutes, 3-4 times a week will do wonders for you mentally & physically.
We’ve been continuing to personal train our members online and it’s been awesome.
A combination of all of these three is one of the best ways to stay positive & healthy in these unusual times.
If you’re struggling for ideas of what to do with your training, check our our free training guide below or reach out if you wanted more help.

Also, one of our amazing members is the owner of the AMAZING, local cafe, Common Ground in Stroud Green.
The Covid-19 pandemic has hit Common Ground hard.
Without help our much loved neighbourhood cafe won’t open its doors or garden again.
Please help us to save this amazing community and local business:
